'The Son of Dawn' to apply to Fajr Filmfest

Iran movie 'The Son of Dawn' has undergone edits, gearing up for the 37th Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

Directed by Behrouz Afkhami, 'The Son of Dawn' will have some new editing changes to apply to the 37th Fajr Film Festival on February.  

'The Son of Dawn' is a biopic on the life of the founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA), and partly narrates the arrest of Imam Khomeini on June 5, 1963.

Iran actor Abdorreza Akbari has portrayed the role of Imam in his middle age.

Other notable cast team includes Mohammad-Reza Sharifinia, Hediyeh Tehrani, Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz, Atila Pesyani and Elika Abdolrazzaqi.

Imam Khomeini was the founder of Islamic Republic of Iran and the leader of the country’s Islamic Revolution in 1979 that saw the overthrow of Mohammad-Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah of the country.
